Hunger Team
Hunger, from the ELCA perspective, is a pressing issue that affects one in eleven people worldwide and millions in the United States, and we are called by Christ to respond with compassion and justice. The ELCA teaches that God provides daily bread for all, and through ministries like ELCA World Hunger, we work together to address both immediate needs and the root causes of hunger, following Jesus’ call to feed the hungry and care for our neighbors (Matthew 25:35; Source: Bible; Source: https://elca.org/branch_world-hunger). Our efforts include supporting sustainable solutions, advocacy, and education, always grounded in relationships and the belief that all people deserve dignity and enough to eat.
